BLUE QUILLS FIRST NATIONS

Natural Home

I started a Natural Building Science program at the Blue Quills First Nations University. This was designed to explore the local materials of wood, clay and straw that can be used to build a super insulated home that requires little to no heat and slow air transfer through the walls so no mold develops.

BLUE QUILLS FIRST NATIONS

Outdoor Clay Oven

We worked with DirtCraft out of Clagary to put on several Natural Building Science workshops. This one is very popular and is great to introduce people to building with local materials from the Earth's surface. Great workshop the hits on the holy trinity of Natural Building Science, food security and community.
